The boys have begun talking more and more, and are starting to imitate us. Last week Alex started saying what we thought was "a plane!!" Turns out he was saying "airplane!" He just wasn't getting the "r" sound in there very well. But his enunciation has really improved. Yesterday, we were out in the back yard playing, and he pointed out every airplane that flew overhead... which was a lot, since we live only about 10 miles or so from the airport. Finally, it occurred to me to get it on video. Here's he is... he needed a little prompting, but this is it.
Another funny story from yesterday -- we were watching the USA men's Olympic basketball team play China, and as expected, the Redeem Team (I hate that nickname... why does the media try so hard to make things "catchy"???) was getting a few easy steals and dunks. LeBron James put down a particularly nasty jam, and I said "Whoa! That was just sick!!" Suddenly, I heard a little voice say "Sick!!" It was Alex. He pointed at the TV and said it again. "Sick!" I was cracking up!
I don't have footage of Will's improving speech, but he's really making progress as well. He says "elephant" and "digger" and "dump truck" and many other words. It's really amazing to watch it all start coming together! So... even though I have no talking footage, here's a very short video showing tons of Will cuteness! I just missed the dance routine he was doing on top of the water table.

That IS sick! Can't wait till you get that on tape! I'm so excited for you guys (and for the little guys) now that communication is blooming all over the place!
Wonderful! They've come such a long way in less than a month. How much "uh, uh" are you hearing these days?
